What You Need to Rent

• A valid passport.
• An International Driving Permit (IDP) issued under the 1949 Geneva Convention, together with your home-country driving licence.
• Drivers licensed in Taiwan (and certain other regions): your licence plus an official Japanese translation (issued by JAF, etc.) can be used instead of an IDP.
• Licences from countries not party to the Geneva Convention (e.g. mainland China) are not valid for driving in Japan.
• Damage Waiver Insurance (CDW): ¥5,500 (tax incl.) per 24 hours — required for all international customers.
• Advance screening: before your booking is confirmed, we will ask you to send copies of your passport and licence/IDP by email.
